The apartment building was engulfed in flames, with dense smoke covering the sky and visible from afar, as seen in aerial footage acquired by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). About 170 firefighters fought tirelessly to contain the fire.
There have been no reported injuries; however, the building has sustained considerable damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
