Our client, a home aide, was on the job assisting a patient at the patient’s home, when our client broke her elbow. She went to an orthopedic doctor who performed surgery on the elbow. That surgery failed. She had a second surgery which also failed. During the third surgery she complained of a dislocated shoulder which the doctor ignored. When this surgery failed as well, she went to another doctor who performed shoulder replacement surgery. This surgery left her with a deadened shoulder, arm and a “claw” hand. She is no longer able to work. We sued all doctors involved including the physical therapist and physician’s assistant. The court awarded our client $1.8M.
